Step 1
The vehicle paint surface needs to be thoroughly cleaned before applying the material. Remove contaminants such as asphalt, grease, wax, dust and other substances from the surface.
Step 2
Make sure there is no trace of stains or contamination remaining on the vehicle surface before application. A clean surface helps provide better conditions for film installation.
Step 3
If the vehicle has a crystal coating/plating, use an appropriate degreaser prior to application to help prepare the surface.
Important: Proper surface preparation is essential for achieving the best possible application.
Paintwork
For proper application, a brand-new paint surface without repainting is preferable.
Preferred
A new, original paint surface without repainting is the preferred condition for film application.
Requires care
If the vehicle has been repainted, make sure the paint is completely dry before applying the film. Allow a minimum of 2 days after the paintwork has been completed before film application.
Recommended waiting period: Minimum 2 days after repainting
If there is repainting on the vehicle surface, there is a possibility that the paint may be torn or lifted when the film is removed.
The risk can depend on factors such as the film's level of stickiness, the condition and quality of the repaint, and the installer's removal technique and skill.
Izzy Wrapping recommends informing the installer about any repainted areas before installation. Customers should understand that film application and removal on repainted surfaces may carry additional risk to the underlying paintwork.

Inspect the paintwork and identify existing issues or repainted areas.
Remove dirt, grease, wax, asphalt and other contaminants.
Prepare the surface for film application.
